Passed away on January 16, 2004 at Carleton Memorial Hospital inWoodstock, N.B. Donna Mae (Fish) Nicholson, of North Lake, was born onJuly 31, 1944 to Violet (Varney) Fish and the late John Fish.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Rolland Nicholson of NorthLake, 2 daughters, Christine Furrow (Luke) of Richmond Settlement,N.B., and Sherrie Kidney (Keith) of Southampton, N.B.

Grandsons, Ryan Kidney and Isaiah Furrow, her mother, Violet Fish,sisters, Muriel Craig (Terrance) of Kingston, N.S., Joan Lockhart(Dan) of Woodstock, N.B., Shirley (Peggy) McLaughlin (Robert) of NorthLake, N.B., Laurie Chase (Danny) of Woodstock, N.B., one brother,Randy Fish (Marie) of Debec, N.B. and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, John Fish, sister Darlene Fish andbrothers Gary and Clayton Fish.

Resting at the Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road,Jacksonville, N.B. where friends may call on Sunday, January 18, 2004from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January19, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. from the funeral home with Rev. Rod Blackofficiating.

Green Mountain, N.B., March 25, [1944] A military wedding of interestto friends took place at the RCAF Chapel at Vulcan, Alberta, when LAWEthel Fish, daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles Fish, North Lake, N.B.,became the bride of Sgt. Pilot Edward Grondin of Verwoods, Sask.The young couple were attended by LAW Vivian Powell and Sgt. JosephListharge. After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at theImperial Hotel in Vulcan. The guests were all in uniform. Tables weredecorated with miniature brides and grooms with centerpieces of appleblossoms tied with white satin ribbons. later the happy couple left ona short wedding trip, travelling to Calgary by plane.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Fletcher (Joseph),Harvey Station, NB, son, Andrew (Lois), Jacksonville, NB, a specialfriend, Aulden Johnston, grandchildren; Nichole Grant, Fredericton,NB, Christopher Grant, Toronto, ON, Andrea Seeley (Scott), Bedell, NB,Kelly Kidney (Peter), Weston, NB, six great grandchildren, sisters;Nadine Gavel (Carl), Nackawic, NB, Myrna Veysey, Woodstock, NB,Carlene Wood (Wayne), Sussex, NB, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A pretty June wedding of wide interest to many friends was solemnizedin the Green Mountain United Baptist Church on June 16, when Rev.Leonard Hovey, united in marriage with double ring ceremony MurielMarie, daughter of Mr and Mrs John Fish of Green Mountain, andTerrence Paul, son of Mr and Mrs Harold Craig, Hartland.
Baskets of summer flowers adorned the altar and guest pews were markedwith a sprig of pine and pink roses tied with satin ribbon.The organist, Miss Lynda MacMillan, played the nuptial music and theguest soloist, Miss Diane Milbury, sang "A Wedding Prayer" during thesigning of the register.
The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Donna Fish as bridesmaid.L.A.C. Kenneth Mortensen was groomsman and the ushers were CharlesFish and Stanley Veysey.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a street length dressof nylon sheer over rayon taffeta with a lace bodice, long lacesleeves pointed at the wrist. Her veil of nylon tulle was held inplaice by a halo of simulated pearls and sequini. Her only jewellerywas a strand of pearls and she carried a cascade bouquet of red roses.The bridesmaid wore a stole collar dress of blue nylon sheer overtaffeta and she carried a cascade bouquet of white and blue mums.The groom and groomsman were dressed in Air Force uniforms.The bride's mother wore a blue brocaded dress with white accessories.Her corsage was white and pink mums. The groom's mother wore a pinkrayon shantung dress over satin with lace bodice. Her corsage waswhite and pink mums.
Immediately following the ceremony a reception was held at the home ofthe bride for approximately 100 guests. The guest book was circulatedby Miss Shirley Geen, a friend of the bride. The bride's table wasprettily decorated with pink and white streamers and pink roses. Oneside was occupied by a 4-tier wedding cake topped by a miniature brideand goom and the other side by the groom's cake nicely wrapped indoilies and tied with blue satin ribbon.
Miss Gaynel Gray and Miss Irene Veysey, cousins of the bride andgroom, served the bridal party and the other guests were served byMarily Ellis, Jean Turner, Sharon Taylor, and Lorraine McIntosh. MrsEarl Veysey and Mrs Melvin Varney, aunts of the bride, presided overthe tea cups.
The toast to the bride was proposed by the minister, Rev. LeonardHovey and was responded to by the groom. After the reception thebridal party motored to Woodstock to have their pictures taken andlater returned for an old-fashioned charivari in the evening. Later Mrand Mrs T.P. Craig left on a honeymoon trip to points of interest inN.B. For travelling the bride wore a blue rayon shantung dress withwhite accessories.
The bride is a graduate of Canterbury Regional High School and ispresently employed with N.B. Telephone Co., Traffic Dept. atWoodstock. The groom is in the Air Force, presently stationed atChatham, N.B.
Out of town guests were from Woodstock, Hartland, Canterbury, Houlton,Keswick, Southampton, Greenfield and Bristol.

A very pretty autumn wedding took place on Oct. 5th when Rev EdwinWickens of the United Pentecostal Church at McAdam, united in marriageNadine Pearl, daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles Fish, North Lake, andCarl Eldon, eldest son of Mr and Mrs Wilfred Gavel of Canterbury. Theceremony was performed at the home of the groom's parents in thepresence of relatives and friends. Mrs Frank Grant was the organistand during the signing of the register Mrs H.N. Grant and Mrs RalphWright sang "I Love You Truly".
The bride was becomingly attired in a suit of pale blue gabardine withpink and black accessories. Her corsage was of pink roses and yellowmums. She was attended by her sister-in-law, Mrs Arthur Fish ofBuckingham, Que. The groom was supported by Mr Fisher.
Following the ceremony a reception was held for about 30 guests. Thebride's table was centered with a three tier wedding cake. Assistingin serving were Mrs George Harriman, Mrs Kenneth Grant, Mrs AshleyTompkins, Mrs Barry Durling, and Mrs Ralph Wright.
The happy couple later left by motor for Buckingham, Que. On theirreturn they will reside in Canterbury.
Out of town guests included Mr and Mrs Arthur Fish of Buckingham,Que., Mr and Mrs George Harriman, Woodland, Me., and Mrs AlfredJohnson and Ralph Johnson of St. Stephen.
