Anne Beatty

AnneAnne Marie Beattie, a native of Canterbury, New Brunswick, was a former regular contributor to the Telegraph Journal Reader. In those august pages she received publication of over a dozen of her stories, always profiling an exotic personage of New Brunswick's past. She has published three books, The Wheelchair Warrior, a biography of Joanne MacArthur; Dance Halls of New Brunswick; and Women of Western New Brunswick. All are available on Amazon.ca. Some of her work may be found here by clicking on the links at the left.

Anne lives in Ontario with her husband, Jim, surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

The Scarlet Thread is the heart wrenching memoirs of a young man seeking a purpose in life amidst a chaotic background. Some may think bad decisions, errors in judgement, mistakes, are failures. Not so. Everything is a learning experience; the good, the bad, and the ugly. Hitting rock bottom after losing his wife and two children, he slowly worked his way from the depths of despair to accepting life as it unfolded. He credits his survival with his strong belief in all things spiritual.

His story is reproduced here with his permission. It is still unfolding.
