HOULTON - June R. Bone, 73, died March 31, 2006, at Houlton with herfamily at her side. She was born Feb. 20, 1933, in Millinocket, thedaughter of Melvin E. and Doris L. (Grass) Walls. June graduated fromBrewer High School in 1951. After 16 years of being the best mom evershe decided to go to beauty school and graduated with honors, stillretaining her license until her death. June had many hobbies includingcooking with Paula Dean, knitting on her knitting machines, vegetablegardening. She also enjoyed tracking her genealogy roots to the firstEnglish speaking settler on the Miramachi River, William Davidson alsoto the first settlers of Forest City, Alex Walls and to her Scottishheritage. She was one of the first modern day fly fishing womenmembers at the Penobscot Salmon Club. She is survived by her husbandof 54 years, R. Lewis Bone of Houlton; three children, Debra A.B.Garibotto and her husband, John, of Florida and Houlton, Thomas N.Bone of Windham and Susan V. Bone and her fiance, Dan Pomerleau, ofMechanic Falls; four grandchildren, Sonya, Ryan, Amanda and Sara; onegreat-grandson, Patrick "P.J.;" one sister, Louise Russell ofBrunswick; several nieces nephews and cousins. She was predeceased byher parents, and one brother, Herbert Graham. Friends may celebrateher life 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St.,Houlton, with services being held 7 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Johnsonofficiating. LONG VALLEY, N.J. - Nina W. Cropley, 91, diedThursday, April 6, 2000, at Long Valley, N.J. Born inBancroft, she had resided in the Bronx and Wanaque, N.J.,before moving here 11 years ago. She was a member of theBloomingdale Baptist Church. She was also actively involvedwith the Church Women United in the Bronx and Wanaque.She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh in 1988.Surviving are four sons, Wilbert of Whiting, N.J., Bryan ofPinehurst, N.C., Raynor of Long Valley, N.J. and MelvinCropley of Linden, N.J.; one daughter, Janet Patterson ofMelbourne, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and 12great-great-grandchildren. H.H. Welsh DeadDied At His Home Charlotte Street Former Resident of Canterbury

[1949] The death occurred Saturday afternoon of Harold H. Welsh, 55,at his home, 447 Charlotte Street, Fredericton. Although he had beenin failing health for the past few years, his death came unexpectedlyand will be learned of with sincere regret by his many friends.Mr Welsh was born at Forest City, Me., son of the late Sedences andMargaret Clark Welsh. He moved to Canterbury with his parents in 1903and later conducted a general store there. He retired in 1947 and cameto Fredericton to live.
He was a member of the Canadian Order of Foresters and active in manyorganizations of the United Church of Canada.
He is survived by his widow, formerly Nina English, of Canterbury; adaughter, Miss Pauline Welsh at home; one brother, Harvey Welsh,Tonawanda, N.Y.; one sister, Mrs Kenneth McGaw, Hyde Park, N.Y.; threenieces and three nephews.
The funeral took place from his home Monday afternoon. The service wasconducted by Rev J. Arthur Forbes assisted by Rev. F. Bennett,Canterbury. Interment was made in the cemetery at Canterbury.

[1949] The funeral of the late Harold H. Welsh took place from hislate home on Charlotte Street at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. The RevJ. Arthur Forbes, Rev Mr Bennett and Rev H. G. Smith jointly conductedthe service which was largely attended. Many floral tributes were inevidence marking the high esteem held of the deceased. Interment wasmade at Canterbury. Favorite hymns of the deceased were rendered bythe organist and a quartette from St. Paul's United Church.Pallbearers were Stewart Durling, Andrew Cummings, Oscar Wilkins, HughHamilton, Earle Jarvis, and Edwin Price. Mourners included, HarleighWelsh, Guy English, William English, Harmon Feero, Harry Greenlaw,Donald Biggs, James Wilson, Clifford English, Claude English, VernonEnglish, Elias Foster, Clark Houghton, Aaron Pratt and Arlie Boone
