DANFORTH - Anita (Cropley) Barnes, 64, died Jan. 25, 2006, at her home. She was born Sept. 20, 1941, in Danforth, the daughter of Wesley "Ben" and Geneva (Spinney) Cropley. Anita attended the Danforth Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed playing cribbage, going to Beano and crocheting. She was employed at the Danforth Rehabilitation Center for many years. She is survived by four children, Bruce and Lynnette Barnes of Bangor, Rhonda Barnes and Mitch Frye of Danforth, Terry Barnes of Danforth and Reginald "Butch" and Dawne Barnes of Bangor; her former husband, Reginald Barnes Sr. of Danforth; seven grandchildren, Ben, Micah, Josh, Tawnie, Mikayla, Deven and Shannon; brothers and sisters, Glenna Crone, Veronica Crone, Violet Frye, Franklin Cropley, James Cropley, Barbara Cropley and Sheila Estabrook; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her pets, Rocky and Buddy. She was predeceased by three brothers and a sister, Tommy Young, Merle "Fred" Cropley, Glenn Cropley and Marie Krautler. She was predeceased by her parents; three brothers, Tommy Young, Fred and Glenn Cropley; two sisters, Marie Kraultler and Anita Barnes; and also her life companion, Primo Bacchiochi. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Danforth Pentecostal Church with Pastor Robert Root officiating. A time of fellowship will be held after at the Robert McKinnon Building. VERNON, CONN. - Glenn Allen Cropley, 58, passed suddenly on Thursday, April 24, 2003, after a brief battle with a sudden illness in Vernon, Conn. He was born May 14, 1944, and was the son of Wesley and Geneva Cropley. He is survived by a loving family consisting of his wife, Wilma; one son, Kevin; daughter, Tammy Cropley; three granddaughters, Laura, Leigh-Ann, Vanessa; three brothers, Franklin, James and Merle; and six sisters, his twin, Glenna, Violet, Anita, Veronica, Barbara, and Sheila; as well as many nieces and nephews all over the country. Services were held in Connecticut and a memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2003, in his honor at the Danforth Pentecostal Church.

CROPLEY, Grover "Mickey" C. Jr., 66 SEARSPORT - Grover "Mickey" C. Cropley Jr., 66, died peacefully, Oct. 18, 2000, at his residence. He was born in Danforth, Nov. 12, 1933, the son of Grover C. and Arlena (Young) Cropley Sr. Mickey worked in the potato industry in the Presque Isle area much of his life until his retirement in 1986 when he and his wife, Rose, moved to Belfast. He stayed active working at Tall Pines Health Care Facility and volunteering. Mickey was always ready to lend a helping hand. He loved to paint and especially to carve birds which he enjoyed sharing with family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Rose, in June; two brothers, Omer and Denny. He is survived by a son, Gregory and his wife, Tammy Cropley of Washburn; three daughters, Victoria and her husband, Michael Kirschmann of Washburn, Melanie Morin of Pennsylvania and Shelley and her husband, Bob Lento of Mars Hill; a stepson, King and his wife, Mary Bishop of Belfast; a stepdaughter, Sherrie Wright of Belfast; 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. DANFORTH and GLENBURN - LeRoy E. Cropley, 73, husband of the late Gladys (Lee) Cropley, died March 26, 2005, at a Bangor hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born Aug. 9, 1931, in Danforth, the son of Grover and Arlena (Young) Cropley. LeRoy's passion was gardening, fishing and enjoying the outdoors. He is survived by four children, Galen Cropley and his wife, Cheryl, Carla and her husband, Carl Jordan Sr., all of Bangor, Alyn Brown of Glenburn, David Cropley and his wife, Wendy, of Chaplin, Conn.; three brothers and their wives, Alston and Maxine Cropley, Eugene and Linda Cropley, all of Lambert Lake, Leslie and Peggy Cropley of Staffordsville, Conn.; one sister and her husband, Loretta and Wayne Delong of Bridgewater; and his sister-in-law, Leone Cropley of Danforth; 12 grandchildren, Gaylann, Carl Jr., Randy, Colette, Timothy, Ann Marie, Tina, Mary-Anna, Elizabeth, James, Louis, Josh; and several great-grandchildren including his very special little daffodil, Jasmyn.
