Woodstock, Aug. 19, 1956 - The death of Mr. Ben Buckingham, Rosedale, occurred on August 19th at the Carleton Memorial Hospital.
He was born at Fosterville, York County, July 24, 1888. He leaves to mourn his wife, Elizabeth, six daughters, Mrs Ernest Cooke, Medford, Mass.; Mrs Harold Harley, Mrs Medley McMullin, Mrs Harry Hamilton, Woodstock; Mrs Eldon Fewer, Fosterville; Mrs Vernon Wright, Toronto; three sons, Cyril, Rosedale; Leighton, Woodstock; Clayton, Middleton, N.S.; one sister, Mrs Meda Varney, Island Falls, Maine; one brother, Hanford, Rockland, N.B.; eighteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The funeral was held at the residence of his son, Cyril Buckingham, Rev. Donald Quigg officiated, assisted by Rev. Fred Chapman and Mr. Harold Shaw. The text was taken from 46th Psalm.
Pallbearers were Walter and Earnest Sewell, Harry Hamilton, Harold Harley, Medley McMullin and Ernest Cooke. The floral tributes were many and numerous. Interment in the Greenwood Cemetery, Hartland.

Bonita Marie Buckingham Landry Known as: Bonny 1961-2018 - It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Bonita Marie Buckingham Landry at The Dr Everett Chalmers Hospital on Sunday July 8th. Born in Fredericton January 7, 1961 she lived the majority of her life in Fredericton, respecting the constant ebb and flow of the St. John River. She was proud to be mother to Chris Buckingham (Paige Stevens) of Fredericton and Greg Landry at home, wife to John Landry, daughter to Freda (Tom) Boldon, sister to Donalda Buckingham of Westville, NS, John Buckingham (Ruth) of Fredericton, and Wendy Buckingham (Geoff Chinn) of Oakville, ON, sister-in-law to Thom (Janine) Landry of Lake George, Donna (Chris) Mullholland of Fredericton, aunt to nieces Jillian & Naomi Buckingham, nephews Matthew Kierstead, Liam and Ethan Landry, and Matthew, Patrick and Andrew Mullholland.She was predeceased by her father D. Roscoe Buckingham, mother-in law Barbara Landry and father-in-law James Landry, grandparents Luella and John Wesley Buckingham, Lily and Clayton Lewis, and many other close family members.Her illness was Multiple Sclerosis, and while it took over her body it did not take over her spirits. With a giving heart, she has donated her body to Dalhousie Medical Research to help the medical professionals of the future find a cure for this debilitating disease.Sincerest thanks to caregivers Alicia and Rebecca and the staff at Kindred home support services. A quiet wedding took place Saturday evening at George Street Baptist Church parsonage at 8 o'clock when Rev. E.T. McKnight united in marriage, Miss Naomi Foster, daughter of Mr and Mrs Ward Foster of Fosterville and Burleigh Buckingham, son of Mr and mrs Wesley Buckingham, also of Fosterville. The bride, who was attended by Mrs Omar Bird, wore a navy gabardine suit with pink accessories and carried a bouquet of pink carnations. The bride's attendant wore a black suit with white accessories and carried a bouquet of white carnations. Omar Bird support the groom. The bride will reside for the present at 278 Westmorland Stree while the groom is employed for the summer in Newfoundland, and in the fall will take up residence in Fredericton.

Beloved daughter of the late Burleigh D. and Naomi M. (Foster) Buckingham, Charity Susan Buckingham passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Friday, March 6, 2015 following a courageous and valiant battle with cancer. She was 62. Her passing was with the same grace and quiet dignity with which she lived her life. We will miss our dear sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, niece, cousin and friend.
Charity graduated from the University of New Brunswick in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and went on to teach music in the Perth Andover and Aroostook schools for 6 years. Although Charity enjoyed her teaching experience, she decided to pursue a career as a lawyer and returned to the School of Law at the University of New Brunswick. She graduated in 1983 and joined the firm of Kenny, Jackson and Murray. She eventually became a law partner in the Grant, Corey, Cable and Buckingham firm and then established a private practice from her home in Hanwell, N.B.
Charity has been active with the Extramural Hospital and was a past member of the foundation and served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees. In addition, Charity has also been an instructor on various Bar Admission courses and was also a past president of the York Sunbury Law Society.Charity had many talents which included such things as knitting, sewing, cooking and music. She also enjoyed the outdoors. She loved walks, skiing and swimming. Charity was also a hunter and joined her brother on some moose hunts.Charity loved spending time at her cottage with family on East Grand Lake and could often be found sitting out next to the lake either enjoying the view, reading her favorite book or having a much deserved snooze. Charity's kind personality, loyalty and attention to detail will be missed by everyone who knew her.Charity was a dedicated and active member of the Hanwell Community Church and was actively involved with the music ministry as their principle pianist. She also served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. As an extension of her church ministry she opened her home to those who loved getting together especially for Home Bible Studies.
Charity was a dearly loved sister to Prudy Libby of French Lake, NB and Stephen Buckingham and his wife Valerie of Fosterville, NB. She leaves behind five nieces and nephews who always held a special place in her heart, Cade Libby (Jayne) of Waasis, NB, Bree Wood (Brad) of French Lake, Cort Libby (Rebecca) of Cold Stream, Laura Chase (Brendan) of Keswick Ridge and Kyle Buckingham of Cole Harbour, NS as well as eight much loved great-nieces and great-nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins. Charity will be greatly missed by her faithful canine companion, "Sophie".
Besides her parents, Charity was predeceased by her brother-in-law, David H. Libby (2014) and several aunts and uncles. Clayton Arnold Buckingham died at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on November 13, 2010 at the age of 82. Among those mourning this gentle man's passing are his wife of 55 years, Maureen J. (Young) Buckingham; children Rick (Kathy) Buckingham of Fredericton, Chris (Michael) McCain of Toronto and Beth (Paul) Baxter of Bedford, N.S.; 11 grandchildren; sisters Ruth McMullin of Woodstock, N.B. and Beatrice (Cecil) Lahey of Toronto; extended family and many friends.
Clayton Buckingham was, above all, a great family man and friend. He grew up in a large family with a twin brother Leighton by his side. He welcomed a house full of children, grandchildren, friends and neighbours. He greeted everyone with a warm smile, a firm handshake and time to listen. Whether it was in Florenceville, Florida or at the camp, he loved spending time with his friends and family. He often made trips to visit his grandchildren and family and spent many hours around the dinner table listening to stories, sharing laughs or enjoying a late night bowl of ice cream. Mr. B, as he was known to many, was an entrepreneur. He worked in retail throughout the Maritimes but was best known for Buckingham's Department Store in Florenceville, N.B. where he and his family settled for over 40 years. Mr. B took great pride in his work and greeted all his customers looking ever so sharp in a jacket, tie and smile. Mr. B and his twin were natural athletes with a competitive spirit. They played on the Woodstock Red Raiders National Championship Basketball team in 1946 and he later won the Men's Senior Curling Championship title in 1983. He was an avid outdoorsman with a love for fishing, hunting and golf. He raised and trialed English Pointers and made wonderful friendships that lasted his lifetime. Mr. B was a very spiritual man and an active member of the Baptist church. He was a member of the Rotary Club, the Masons, the Elks Club and was well known in his community for his kind and generous nature. Clayton was predeceased by his parents Benjamin and Elizabeth (Stewart) Buckingham; twin brother Leighton; brother Cyril and sisters Juanita Fewer, Kaye Hamilton, Alethia Harley and Ella Cook.

BUCKSPORT - Lena Marie (Buckingham) Leeman, 88, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2009, in Bucksport. She was born April 10, 1920, in Forest City, New Brunswick, daughter of John Leonard and Ella (Leeman) Buckingham. She moved to Millinocket in November 1925 and graduated from Stearns High School in 1938. Lena married Maynard L. Leeman, Oct. 5, 1940, and moved to Bucksport in 1941. She belonged to Maine Cooperative Extension of Hancock County, formerly Farm Bureau, for 60 years. She is survived by her husband; three children, Ellen Clement of Augusta, Ronald Leeman and wife, Sharon, of Wiscasset and Paul Leeman and wife, Grace, of Montague, Calif.; a sister, Neva Miller and husband, Carlton, of Millinocket; nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; one sister, Avis Larson; brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Nadine Buckingham; a nephew, John Miller; and a son-in-law, Edmund Clement. Millinocket - Neva J. Miller, 84, died Monday, August 1, 2016 at her home in Millinocket. She was born August 31, 1931 in Millinocket, the daughter of John L. and Ella A. (Leeman) Buckingham.
Neva grew up in Millinocket, and was a graduate of Stearns High School, class of 1948. She attended nursing school for a few months after high school, and while she never completed her formal education in healthcare, Neva was a dedicated caregiver her entire life, helping care for her older sister and later, her mother, as they endured battles with cancer, and also her father in later years. She also attended to many friends and family members. Neva even gave advice to her daughter, who is a nurse, as she cared for her during her final illness. For many years, she operated M & M Catering with her friend Mary McInnis. As a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Millinocket, she was a Sunday School teacher, coordinated church suppers, and put together care packages for the shut-in ministry at the church. She also led a Women's Bible Study for many years, only stopping in the last 2 years. Neva was a devoted wife to Carleton Miller for 66 years. They built their camp on Ambajejus Lake in 1963, and spent many summers there. Neva enjoyed spending time in the outdoors, and enjoyed her perennial flower gardens. A talented cook and baker, she and Carleton also enjoyed pickling and canning vegetables from their garden as well. For several years after Carleton retired, Neva worked at the Millinocket Public Library, time which she was very proud to have contributed. A devoted wife, dedicated caregiver, faithful servant, and loving mother, Neva will be remembered by her grandchildren as a rock solid source of safety, comfort, and stability. She will be missed.
In addition to her husband, Neva is survived by four children, Nancy Noyes and her husband Robert of Glenburn, Carleton Miller, Jr. and his wife Karen of Kennebunk, Sheila Goetz and her husband Robert of Orrington, and Avis Jenkins of Bangor; thirteen grandchildren, Adam, Emily, Joshua, Jaimee, Jeremiah, Elijah, Jonathan, Michael, Nathan, Amanda, Hannah, Anthea, and Ashley; six great grandchildren; a special nephew, Allen Larson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a son, John Miller, and a son in law, Joseph Jenkins, two sisters, Avis Larson and Lena Leeman, and a brother Eric Buckingham.

Many of you know Chuck Bunting, retdired RCMP officer, who has a number of close relatives in Woodstock and surrounding area. The following is an excerpt from a daily blog written by Larry Burden, retired RCMP, living in Charlotte County.May 24, 1974 - A celebration was held in the northern settlement of Aklavik, N.W.T because the State of Alaska had settled several land claims with many individual Eskimo's throughout the north, including some of the residents of Aklavik. A large quantity of liquor was flown into the normally “dry� community from Inuvik, 70 miles away and residents of all ages partied until all of the liquor had been consumed.
Around 10:30 pm after drinking heavily with Charles Bell Koe age16 and two other friends, 16-year-old Eugene Lawrence Thrasher left his buddies and went over to the local Hudson's Bay Company store. There he proceeded to smash out a window of the store and steal a 30-30 rifle and ammunition.
The manager of the Hudson's Bay store and his wife heard the commotion and looked out their widow and saw Thrasher walking by their house carrying the rifle and go into the rear of the Roman Catholic Mission House. Shortly thereafter they heard a single shot and observed the gunman leave the Mission and head towards the bush. They immediately call the police and reported what they had seen.
Constable #26992 Charles (Chuck) Fenwick Bunting rushed to the scene and saw a man walking along the riverbank. When he went inside the Mission he discovered that the resident priest Father Jean Franche had been shot in the stomach and learned that the priest had thrown Thrasher out of the Mission. As a result, the gunman had fired a shot through the door after the Priest had closed it on him. While Sister Anna Marie Broduer phoned the Nurses station, Constable Bunting placed his coat over the wounded Priest to keep him warm and then rushed after the assailant.
Cst. Bunting quickly caught up to Thrasher as he was nearing the last house in the settlement, occupied by Mr. Joseph Frank Rivet. As Bunting shouted to the gunman to halt, the assailant stopped, turned and then pointed his rifle at the Constable who quickly ducked behind cover. As the youth ran from the scene Bunting fired several warning shots in an attempt to get the gunman to stop. Hearing the shots Frank Rivet came out of his house and yelled, "What the hell is going on?" The Constable quickly explained what had happened and instructed Rivet to get his rifle and assist him.
Losing sight of the suspect Constable Bunting cautiously proceeded on well aware of the danger he was in. As he walked past a cash of fuel barrels, Bunting spotted the gunman lying in the grass trying to take aim at him. Bunting shouted to him and ordered stand up and place his hands over his head but instead the youth stood up and pointed his rifle at the policeman. Realizing that Frank Rivet was coming up behind him, Constable Bunting moved to the left in a semi-circle away from Rivet and fully exposing himself to the gunman.
Having no available cover, he then dove to the ground giving his attacker a smaller target to shoot at. As Bunting was reloading his revolver Thrasher fired hitting the constable in the left arm. Though he was seriously wounded Constable Bunting took aim at his assailant and fired five shots and yelled to Rivet to shoot as well. Taking aim, Frank Rivet fired a single shot and the gunman went down.
Before getting up Chuck Bunting removed his belt and fastened a makeshift tourniquet around his wounded arm and cautioned Rivet to ensure that gunman could no longer fire his rifle. When they approached Thrasher, they discovered that though he had been hit twice in the chest he was still alive.
All three wounded men were taken to the local nursing station and stabilized. Concerned that there could be more trouble, Constable Bunting instructed the staff to not let anyone enter the Nursing station.
When the shooting started Constable Buntings wife Brenda, called the Detachment in Inuvik, and within an hour and a half nine more policemen were flown to the scene. As the three wounded men were about to be loaded onto two aircraft another crisis ensued.
When Thrasher's friend Charlie Koe, heard that his friend had been shot he went to the Nursing Station and demanded to see him. When he was refused entry, Koe angrily returned to his house and grabbed his rifle and began firing from his front steps.
A standoff occurred with the additional reinforcements and in the course of events Charlie Koe was shot and killed.
All three patients arrived at the hospital in Inuvik but both Father Franche and Lawrence Thrasher died on the operating table. Constable Bunting survived and eventually returned to work. At a later date both he and Mr. Joseph Frank Rivet were awarded the Commissioners Commendation for Bravery and Commanding Officers Commendations were issued to Corporals Bertrand M. Charlebois and Gordon F. Poth and Constable #26991 Glen H. Brooks for their role in the standoff with Koe.
At that time, 1974, police officers carried .38 caliber 6-shot revolvers. Many only loaded 5 rounds leaving an empty slot beneath the hammer as a safety precaution against accidental discharge. Chuck fired 5 rounds and had to reload, but it appears that one shot hit the gunman in the chest. The article doesn't say how far apart they were. Studies and statistics show that 75% (more or less) of all gunfire exchanges involving police officers happen at 10 feet or less. Most of the shots miss. You may wonder how anyone with training in firearms could miss at that distance. First of all, they are not aiming, but pointing. With a 6-inch barrel, a slight movement off center throws the bullet off the target. Second, Adrenalin is running high with a mixture of fear thrown in, something that cannot be duplicated in training. Third, using a handgun against a rifle is almost useless. The gentleman assisting Chuck had a rifle, he was not under immediate fire, thus he could with some deliberation aim and fire. That one shot also struck the young gunman in the chest. It takes a lot of courage to face down someone who is trying to kill you. Chuck had that courage as well as presence of mind to still consider the situation while being treated for his wound.

She was the daughter of the late Roy and Blanche (Cooke) Burtt. Jean is survived by her daughter, Sherrie (Ronald) Evans and her grandchildren, Lori (Ray) Schriver, Brent (Charlotte) Evans, Sherrie Lee (Edward) Evans; great grandchildren, Robin, Evan and Andrew Schriver; sister, Myrtle Simms; brother, Ralph (Joyce) Burtt; sister-in-law, Madelon Seymour; nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sister, Laura (Lloyd) Wood; brothers, Guy (Kaye), Russell (Jean) and Roy (Joyce) Burtt; sister-in-law, Beulah (Bob) Coombes; brother-in-laws, Donald Simms and Ronald Seymour. Jean was employed at the Gaiety Theatre for 25 years and was a member of Grace Memorial Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir and a Sunday School teacher for many years. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive on Saturday August 30, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Alton Richardson Bustard, 88, of Woodstock NB passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the Carleton Manor. Alton was born February 18, 1935, son of Clayton and Erma (Lunnie) Bustard in Kirkland NB.Alton is survived by his wife Jo (Flemming); children Loree Kaye (Doug) and Stephen (Jean); grandchildren Erica Kilfoil (Ian), Andrew Kaye, Sarah Bustard (Pierre Arseneau) and Aaron Bustard (Heather Lomax); great grandchildren Isaac Kilfoil, Owen Kilfoil; Clinton Bustard, Simon Arseneau, Leo Arseneau and Evelyn Bustard; sisters Shirley Graham and Geraldine Lenehan (John); and several nieces and nephews.Besides his parents, Alton was predeceased by his sister Colleen Watson and brothers Colin and Hilary. After graduating from the Maritime Forest Ranger School, Alton enjoyed a long career in the forestry industry. Forming B & W Forest Products Ltd. and A. Bustard Ltd. were testaments to his forestry and business knowledge. Alton enjoyed the outdoors and spent many hours hunting and fishing. As an avid harness racing enthusiast and horse owner he served many years with the Woodstock Driving Club. Alton also enjoyed his work with the Woodstock Elks Club #349 and served as the Exalted Ruler.

Morton (Marilyn) Bustard, eight sisters; Marie Lloyd, Mildred (Brent) Patterson, Hilda (John) Gray, Carol Keetch, Katherine (Eric) Williams, Joanne (James) Post, Janice (Frank) Galbraith and Faith (Wayne) Galbraith, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Elmer was predeceased by two brothers; Howard and Rev. William Bustard.
Elmer was raised in Blacks Harbour where he worked for Connors Bros. as a carpenter for a number of years before moving to Fredericton. He loved fishing and had a passion for music and enjoyed playing the guitar.Resting at the United Pentecostal Church in Blacks Harbour NB from where the service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm. The interment will be held at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery in the spring. Visiting at the church on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Hillary Clifton Bustard [1957] The community of Debec was shocked and saddened by the sudden death of Hilary Clifton Bustard early Saturday morning, August 10th, following a highway mishap.
Born at Kirkland, on April 8th, 1938, he was the son of Mr and Mrs Clayton Bustard. He is survived by his parents, two brothers, Alton of Woodstock, and Colin with the Royal Canadian Regiment stationed at London, Ontario, and three sisters, Mrs Floyd Watson (Colleen), of Maxwell; Mrs Ardean Graham (Shirley), of Woodstock, and Geraldine at home.
He was a graduate of Canterbury Regional High School and a member of this year's class of the Maritime Forest Ranger School, from which he would have graduated in December. During the summer he had been employed as an Apprentice Land Surveyor with the Department of Lands and Mines.
The funeral service was held on Monday afternoon, August 12th with prayers at home followed by service at St. Paul's Anglican church in Kirkland, conducted by Rev T.W. Crowther, assisted by cadet L.R. Mullen and Rev H. Gordon Smith of Moncton, N.B. Two hymns, Peace Perfect Peace, and The Lord is My Shepherd, were rendered by the choir.
Former classmates and friends acted as pallbearers. They were Louis Smith, Gary Smith, Curtis Foster, Alden Grant, Allison Smith, and George McDougall. Interment was in the family lot in the adjoining cemetery.
Many beautiful floral tributes aattested to the high esteem in which the young man was held.

The very sudden death of Mr. James Bustard of Monument Settlement, on Friday, 2nd inst., came as a severe shock to the relatives of his wife, who is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Boone of this place. He left a wife and two daughters, besides numerous brothers and sisters. The funeral, which took place from his late home, was under the auspices of the Church of England of which the deceased was a member.

The family and church community are grieving the loss of a beloved pastor, devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, mentor and Christian example. In the early morning hours of Friday, June 19, 2020, Rev. Vernon Bustard completed his earthly journey in the presence of his wife Judy at Hospice House, Fredericton. The Bustard family says this is not a story of defeat; it's a story of victory. They have found comfort in knowing he is finally healed and no longer suffering. Born in Monument Settlement, NB, on March 8, 1936, he was a son of the late Raymond Charles and Beatrice Helen (Watson) Bustard. In addition to his parents, Vernon was predeceased by brothers Rev. William Bustard, Howard Bustard, Elmer Bustard, Clifford Bustard, Wesley Bustard and a sister Hilda Gray.Vernon was an ordained minister with the United Pentecostal Church International. His family says he has touched countless lives both inside the church and outside through the many years of ministry that he devoted his life to. His legacy of leadership, love and great compassion will know no end.
Left behind to cherish his memory is the love of his life, Judy (Jackson) Bustard, his beloved wife of 60 years; daughter Joanie Stoddart (Rev. Tony) and sons David Bustard and Donald Bustard; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; 12 siblings, Marie Lloyd, Rev. Arden Bustard (Betty Ann), Mildred Patterson (Brent), Carol Bustard, Katherine Williams (Eric), Joanne Post (James), Eugene Bustard, Gary Bustard, Janice Galbraith (Frank), Faith Galbraith (Wayne), Rev. Lloyd Bustard (Pamela) and Rev. Morton Bustard (Marilyn); a brother-in-law John Gray; a sister-in-law Joyce Hanson-Bustard; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Vernon experienced immense love, joy and laughter with his family and considered himself a man most blessed. In the midst of our grief we have found a loving God. It is hard to forget someone who gave us so much to remember.The family wish to thank the Doctors, nurses and staff at Hospice House Fredericton for the excellent and compassionate care shown to Vernon.
There will be a public visitation at Capital Community Church, 71 Downing St., Fredericton on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM which will allow friends and congregants an opportunity to pay their respects without breaking the social distancing requirements. Jack Leaman. A private interment will be held in Pennfield Rural Cemetery, NB. The death of Rev. William Henry Bustard, loving husband of Edna (Price) Bustard, occurred on Tuesday July 26, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1934 in Monument Settlement, NB he was the son of the late Raymond and Beatrice (Watson). William was a Pastor and an Evangelist for 43 years. He was a pastor in Benton, River du Chute, Doaktown, Fredericton, and Saint John, where he was Pastor of First Revival Temple. Pastor Bustard was past President of the First Revival Temple Bible School in Doaktown.
Besides his loving wife Edna, he is survived by his children Michael (Samantha), Gerald (Gail), Fred, Elizabeth Bumpus (Gary), Jeff (Wendy), Stephen (Patricia), Nathan, James (Sharon), Philip (Tracey), Dwayne and Mark (Victoria); brothers and sisters: Vernon (Judy), Wesley (Joyce), Marie Lloyd, Arden (Bettyanne) Mildred Patterson (Brent), Hilda Gray (John), Elmer (Mary), Carol Keetch, Clifford, Katherine Williams (Eric), Joanne Post (James), Eugene, Gary (Dianna), Janice Galbraith (Frank), Faith Galbraith (Wayne) Lloyd (Pam) and Morton (Marilyn); 39 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother Howard and granddaughter Krystle.

Teddy Calder Passed in: Campobello, New Brunswick, Canada At the Charlotte County Hospital, on Wednesday, February 9th, 2011; Teddy Calder, husband of Marie (Graham) Calder of Welshpool, Campobello, NB. Born in Campobello he is the son of the late Russell Alphonso & Vivian Linnea (McGowan) Calder. Teddy and Marie had resided in Ontario for a period of time so he worked for the Canadian Railway as a Brakeman. Returning to Campobello, he was employed with Canada Customs stationed in Campobello for approximately 18 years, retiring in the mid 1970's. He worked as a commercial fisherman in and around Campobello also ran boats for the Roosevelt family. Teddy was a well known carpenter to many people. He had a hand in many a house. Teddy also pastored as a clergy for many years in churches in Cantebury, Forest City, Green Mountain and Eel River Lake, NB. Teddy had a real passion for horses and the outdoors.
Surviving in addition to his wife Marie are his two sons Colin and Russell (Cindy) all of Campobello, five daughters, Beth Mahoney (Stephen) of Morrinville, Alberta, Joanne Hicks Sr (Reginald) of East Machias, Maine, Cathy Moores (Jerome) of Dexter Maine, Marianne Breault (Pierre) of Fredericton, NB and Jennifer Calder of Bangor Maine, one sister Vera Calder of Campobello, eight grandchildren Reggie Jr, Jason, Elyse, Matthew, Kristian, Dustin, Justin, Adam, two step grandchildren Tina and Adam, 11 great grandchildren. Teddy was predeceased by one son Theodore Russell, one grandson Jeffrey, two brothers Clayton and Bernard.
Resting at North Road Baptist Church, Welshpool, Campobello, NB from where the service will be held on Sunday, February 13th, 2011 at 2:00 pm. The interment will follow in North Road Cemetery followed by a reception in the church hall. The death of Marjorie Ruth (Cameron) Boone of Hanwell, wife of William Lloyd Boone occurred on Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at Mountainview Lodge. Born in Devon, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Ruby (Lyons) Cameron. Marjorie worked for the Federal Government in the Old Age Security Office. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Boone is survived by three sons, Michael R., Paul R. (Kay), and James J. Furlong all of Fredericton; two stepsons, Lloyd George Boone (Ellen) of Hamilton, ON, and Kevin Boone (Colleen) of Fredericton; two stepdaughters, Carolyn Pellow (Jim) of Fredericton, and Beverly Corrine Boone of Toronto, ON; several grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one sister, Helen Maston; two brothers, John and Ross (Mary Shields) Cameron; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one brother, Wallace Cameron; and one sister, Alice Cameron.

BOONE, WINNIFRED LOUISE - Winnifred Louise Boone of Northampton passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at the Carleton Memorial Hospital in Woodstock. Born in Woodstock, she was the daughter of Flora (Barker) Cammack and the late Russell Cammack. Winnie is survived by her husband, J. Beverly (Bev) Boone; her mother, Flora; her daughter, Karen Boone of Beamsville, Ontario; her son, Wade Boone of Woodstock; two grandchildren, Dakota Boone and Jessica Boone; two brothers, Owen Cammack of Calgary, AB, and Richard Cammack (Judy) of Harvey; a sister, Mildred Decker (Albert) of Middleton, Nova Scotia; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her father, Winnie was predeceased by two grandchildren, Eric Covey and Santana Boone.
